Mobility Dogs welcomes VetCare partnership

Servicing the areas of Grey Lynn, Kingsland, Ponsonby and Herne Bay, Auckland vets Dr Alex Melrose & Associates at VetCare have recently partnered with Mobility Dogs in support of our Trust.  The team has offered to provide vet care at 50% discount (this does not include product) to any of our recipients in the area!  They are happy to assist you, if needed, from the car into the fully accessible clinic.  If you would prefer a home visit, Vetcare will provide a 50% discount to see your dog in your home.  Please take up this generous offer should you be living in close proximity to Vet Care. 

Alex and his team have a particular interest in our Puppies in Prison programmes and Alex will shortly be joining me at Spring Hill prison to meet the prisoners and their dogs.  We will be incorporating Alex's veterinary expertise into our on-going training modules with the prisoners and Alex will talk to the prisoners about basic animal husbandry.  Further, puppies will have the opportunity to be socialised when out under the community under the watchful eye of Alex's team.  We are all looking forward to developing this new relationship with VetCare and are delighted to have them on board.
